, born in Allentown PA received a scholarship and early admission to college at Moore College of Art and Designed in Philadelphia. She transferred to Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara California where she graduated with honors receiving her BA degree. Majoring in Illustration Photography, with an understudy of digital design, Ms. Gangawere is well versed in the arts with 23 years’ experience as a photographer, graphic designer, and fine art painter. An early interest in art flourished to a lifelong passion. Tammy started drawing and painting at a young age, winning her first drawing award at age 7. She continued to receive awards throughout her carrier in both photography and painting, including the 15th Congressional Art Competition at age 16, and Santa Barbara California Art Expo in 1993. Her work has been in local art shows as well as a worldwide traveling art show. Her photograph Natural Beauty of a poppy was on display in the Susquehanna Art Museum in Harrisburg for 2 months. Most recently she received Honorable Mention in the 2017 London International Creative Competition for her digital photography.
Tammy uses a multitude of mediums to express her visual creativity including macro photography with digital enhancement, abstract painting (utilizing her own customized hand crafted stencils), and water color. She loves using the brush strokes and texture of the paint to create multi-dimensional works of art. Ms. Gangawere said one of the things she loves about art is there is no right or wrong because it is objective, art is truly in the eye of the beholder. She almost hates to name her pieces because she doesn’t want to tell people what to see. She likes to hear all the different things that others see when they look at one of her works of art.
